This is a very...interesting graphic. The use of knives and the magnifying glass as limbs makes it seem kind of uncanny but hey; it does go with what your metaphor is about.
I think that the main thing that you can improve on, though, is the incorporation of the poem itself. It looks as if you chose to have a whole half of the picture dedicated to it and I don't think it's the best allocation of space on a graphic, so I'd definitely work on that area.
One way to ensure this is taking a landscape-oriented photo. It seems like you took your picture vertically (portrait) while the graphic itself is supposed to be horizontal. Keep these guidelines in mind when you plan out and create your graphic.
I also think creativity needs to be exercised a bit more when it comes to making graphics. Make something really pop out in your graphic somehow.
In general: As always, intentions are good, but the execution of everything is still very important, because the execution is what everyone is going to see.
Your graphic card is simple, yet creative. I like how you chose to incorporate the swiss army knife as part of your body. However, one suggestion I would have is to blend your card a little better. It kind of looks like two separate pictures. Instead, you could try putting your poem behind your picture or something. Overall, nice job!!
